The remaining 2 boys joined the FLL robotics team this year. Some of “The Boys” play soccer, others play basketball, 1 plays on a football team. Some of “The Boys” are Boy Scouts. Some of “The Boys” go to public school, others go to a nearby private school, and one is homeschooled. Some of “The Boys” will say their favorite subject in school is math, others will say science, and others will say their favorite subject is lunch or recess. But THE thing that “THE Boys” have in common is their love of building with Legos! The love of building with Legos naturally expanded into their love of the FIRST Lego League!

Brief Submission Description:
Large picture, large print flip-chart type “All Senses Picture Menu” to meet needs of seniors loosing eyesight, hearing & memory. If these losses keep seniors from dining area, they may not eat any meals or not eat nutritious meals. When seniors isolate, it leads to negative physical, emotional & mental health issues. An “All Senses Picture Menu” has 3 areas: 1) soup, salad, appetizers, 2) main course, 3) side dish. The team created several theme “Picture Menus:” “Mexican Food,” “Breakfast All Day,” “BBQ,” “Light Lunch” & “Dessert.” Each menu is tailor made to picture food items served each day. A “Master Picture Menu” photo file contains pictures of all foods the facility serves. From this “Master Picture Menu” file menus are changed quickly & easily, for instance, cobbler may be peach one day, but pecan cobbler the next, so one picture is taken from “Master Picture Menu” & changed in “Dessert Picture Menu.” “Picture Menu” available in printed format. Computer app being developed.
