Full Invention Name:
NeXT Chair - Senior Fitness Centre
Our team NeXT, with e in NXT makes the NeXT generation! What a cool name we have! We are formed by 6 boys aged around 10-12 years old. We go to different elementary schools in the lower mainland, BC, Canada. We came together because we all like LEGO® and we go to Robokids Canada to take a Robotics program after school. We meet up at least once a week to work on the project and the robot game. We learn, we argue, we joke and we laugh. We really have a lot of fun there. We are not only hard-working, but also learn from mistakes, we try to think “Out of the Box”. We are lucky we have very friendly coaches and mentors. When we encounter problems, they are always there to guide us. Go NeXT GO!
Brief Submission Description:
Most of us don't usually see our grandparents working out in gyms. For them, the equipment is too dangerous, as their bodies are too frail to reliably protect themselves from small accidents, which often occur in the gym. However, this doesn't mean that seniors don't need exercise! Some popular choices among seniors for working out are Tai Chi, jogging, or yoga. But what about those who find even these activities too difficult? The NeXT Chair solves these problems. This senior fitness centre helps even the weakest of seniors to be able to get their much-needed exercise. It may look just like a chair, but it's much more advanced than that. All of the parts of the chair are able to move! Our chair revolutionizes the concept of building muscle mass by resisting movements, and implements an assistive system to help seniors move and work out their body in a heavily researched training program, designed by us.
