Team Description:
Dream Green Machine is a Robotics team in central New Jersey. We are a unique all Girls Scouts team ranging in age from 9 to 13 years. Our team has two sets of twins and two sets of siblings! This is our first year competing in FLL. We are proud that Dream Green Machine won first place for its research project in the regional qualifiers! We have realized the power of innovation, and that girls can make a difference in the world using science, technology and engineering. One of our challenges was learning these concepts in a team setting without knowing each other previously. Robotics has provided us with the opportunity to express our creativity in a group and to present our point of view to the public via FLL competitions. Researching senior solutions gave us a deeper appreciation of challenges facing our own senior family members. Our favorite game as a team is elbow tag and we have a fun team cheer for our robot!

Brief Submission Description:
EZ-Drive(patent pending) primarily intends to make driving experience easy for seniors by enhancing their response times to traffic situations. EZ-Drive uses RFID technology (Radio Frequency Identification) to communicate with any approaching traffic light, or other similar devices in nearby cars by transmitting and receiving the RFID signals. Information sent by the traffic light will be reported to EZ-Drive, and communicated to the senior driver by either audio/visual cues. EZ-Drive can also be integrated with a GPS device using bluetooth technology and smart applications on mobile devices.
